WESTERN FLUID COMPONENTS NIGHT

LIFESTYLE RV 1200’S

Lemley Tries to Cap Championship

Eric Fisher had an impressive time-in Friday night. Tripping the clock at 10.642, the unfortunate situation for Fisher is that he drew an eight for the inversion. Good News for Jason Bloodgood and Brock Lemley who qualified 8th and 7th respectively. That put the brothers-in-law on the front row. With minor problems on the start we got going and clicked off fourteen laps before a yellow came out. On the ensuing green Eric Drake got caught up with two other cars and flipped wildly from the end of the front straight on into turn one. Everybody walked away. Drake did return to the race five laps down but did finish twelfth. Easily the most impressive run of the night was Robin Cully in the #85 Sprinter. Robin started twelfth and finished fourth. Another great run by Clennon Holloway, He started sixth and finished third behind Lemley and Bloodgood. Clennon has not been able to match his early season win, but has run consistently all season.

FRONTIER CHEVROLET/SPEEDMART 600’S

ANDREW CHONG NOTCHES FIRST MAIN WIN!

Which would you like to be? Lucky or Good? Andrew Chong filled both roles Friday night at Deming Speedway. He timed-in eighth, not bad out of twenty-six 600 sprinters. When Eric Fisher drew an eight, Andrew had to look at the board just to make sure he had eighth fast time. He knew he had to get through his heat race to get into the main. Once again front row Charley picks up the win. On the pole every drivers dream come true. Is the set-up right? Is there enough fuel, tire pressure right, correct shocks, and correct bars? Andrew drove a smart race, did not get rattled, in lap traffic, did not seem to overdrive the car when Jared Peterson showed his nose. And in the end Andrew Chong walked away with the hardware and his first main event win. A night he will remember forever!
Other good runs for the night, Jared Peterson finished second, and Kyle Statema from eighth starting spot finished third.

Eric Turner Wins Main Event!

Once again luck has to be on your side once in awahile. As for the turner brithers, luck smiled! Eric and Brandon both appeared to miss set-ups for qaulifying, but were in the right place at the right time when the line-up came out for the A Main Event! Turner Brothers on the front row. Eric’s car appeared to hit the set-up and Brandon struggled alittle, but still finished fourth. Jake Benson was second, and Greg Thornhill third.

Natalie Sinner Picks Up First Win!

Natalie sinner from inside the second row was the dominant machine in the A Main event. She took little time getting to the lead around front row starters Gary Lilijebeck and Mike Vollbrecht. Once up front all she had to worry about was last week’s winner McKenzie Thomas, who has been quick all year. Kenzie did everything to chase Sinner down, but had nothing for her. Jake Benson was third.
