I go to this site from time to time to read winners from the week before. I don't know who writes for your site but what he wrote about the winner of the 600 class was awful. The winner did come from mid pack to win, which means he was the best driver that night. it was not handed to him. Need a new news man
I believe what he meant by handing it to him was that second place and first got together and he was "HANDED" the lead..yes he did come from mid pack and yes he was very fast. I actually think our news guys does a fine job and is always on it right after the races are over..no waiting involved. Maybe you read into it to far yeah?? I kinda hear what your sayin but..you misinturpreted what he meant.
Even thou the 2 leaders got tangled, The winner held off the rest of the field for 3 or 4 laps. ?? It just sounds like a personal commentary that's all. Just an option.
We do not believe this story was in anyway trying to take away a great run from Shaun Holtorf.Unfortunately, some times it is hard to read things in the same content as they were written.I would think that had the story just said “Shaun was the fastest car and won” wouldn’t have really told much of what had happened nor would have been much of a story to read.I would then have to agree with you in that we need a new writer, however as it is I think the story told the story of what happened and did give credit to Shaun for not only coming from mid pack but also winning.
We would like to thank Kaleb for the great job he does weekly keeping people informed. As mentioned before these are all just opinions and no writer out there will ever share the same opinion with all their viewers.

there are 5 classes of cars that race each week and a short time to get the report out for the race fans that are not able to be there and want to keep up on how each class did, if the reporter waited until Saturday or Sunday to make his or her reports then it might just become old news and the excitment might be gone, a short message right after the race is better than a full page report the next day. Kaleb does a great job for the tracks and racers that he reports for IMO. Mike Allen
Man I hate this kinda stuff. As far as Shaun and I go, We will both tell anyone in a heartbeat that Kaleb is one of the best dang track reporters there is. We have no issues with how he does his job and he is not expected to be perfect and absolutely to the fact when writting about each event. There is allot going on. I appreciate the fact that someone somewhere thought we deserved more glory for our win. Thankyou! But as far as Sherm and I go, I must say that it's not all about the win and the glory. We are at Deming each friday to have fun and be with our best friends, I have seen Sherm come off the track many a time giggling about what a good time he had racing someone way back in the pack, running cleanly side by side and swapping positions. I can honestly say for him it's not all about the winning, It's all about the Racing The winning part is just an extra bonus when it happens. In the last 10yrs or more of racing at Deming we have also learned that to run up front you need a good combination of 1/3 car-1/3-driver and 1/3 Luck. This is what makes Sprint Car Racing the greatest sport in the world!
blah blah! I didnt even read it all. I will go to my laps from now on!
Wow you sure are a rude fella! If you didn't want responses to your post you shouldn't have put it up. It appears you will find everything your heart desires at my laps! So good riddens! Don't worry about us we will fair just fine without your negativety.

I am always open to constructive criticism or commentary. You can reach me anytime during the week via email, kaleb@xxxraceco.com or I'm available anytime at Deming Speedway on Friday, before or after the races.
Kaleb in my opinion does a great job giving a fair and unbiased report of racing action. His reports are factual and charismatic as well as entertaining. I enjoy reading them.
I don't enjoy reading posts from folks that hide behind a non identifiable screen name and bad mouth people that work hard to do a thankless job. Then don't even have the common...., ah heck with it, the guts to step up and sign their name to it.
Thanks Kaleb for everything you do for us racers and fans, you are truly a great guy!
