That's what I had thought too. I know on mid-season championship night the top 6 ran a scramble for starting position but they lined them up by points from 7th to 12th and then the rest ran through a C or B main lined up by points.
Wasn't sure how they were doing it for Championship night and didn't know if "the rest" meant just the remaining 6 in the top 12 or the rest of the cars.
Guess it doesn't matter, I will show up either way and have a good time!

Just looked at my laps for the Mid Season championship. Every class had a six car scramble(1 through 6 in points). 7 through 12 lined up in order for the A-main. If you had more than 18 cars in your class 13 on up had to time in to be slotted for the C or B mains(6 cars transferred). Only the 600 stock class had more than 18 cars thus they were the only class that had to run time trials.
Will it be the same for Championship night? Its anybodies guess!
One would think there would be some consistency with the rules or format otherwise it would make it difficult to try to play by them so I'm sure we will probably follow the same championship format we had last year which I found out from someone else was as you described Mr. Brown.
Coming from the guy in 11th place in points I sure hope they line them up by points.

The top 6 in each class will run a scramble , but the top 12 are locked in to the main event. All other cars will qualify to try and better their position.
