talked a little with Kelly earlier this moring and he said he is a little sore but seemed to be doing fine, dosn't know when he will be back in the car.
Talk to Kelly too and he said on the second roll that he didn't know if he was going to make out alive. Then he kind of blacked out, then came to and was happy to see his fingers and toes wiggling. Seemed to be in good spirits today.
Thanks for the concern and I really appreciate all of the assistance from everyone that night. In my life I've seen some pretty horrible wrecks, not sure where this one ranks but certainly it is a testament to the safety equipment we have that someone can end up making it through one with as little injury as I ended up having, although I feel like I got ran over by a train right now.
I also can't 100% recall exactly how it happened but I want to apologize for not recognizing the yellow fast enough if that was the case. I didn't see the yellow light coming out of turn 2 and I am usually pretty good about looking at those things because I have been run over before. Someone told me that whoever I hit was accusing me of having my head up my .... So again sorry.
I am taking a look at my car but at first glance it doesn't look as bad as I thought it was going to be so hopefully I can get it fixed and see you all out there soon...

Glad to hear your doing OK and hopefully will be back behind the wheel this Friday. Don't worry about if someone said that you were driving with your head up your ass because you werent. Besides whoever said it is probably the same guy that was driving with HIS head up HIS ass two weeks ago or whenever HE wrecked himself or someone else.
Thanks! I've heard since that it was a very late yellow because they were waiting to see if a car that spun was going to get back into the race. I guess they decided to throw it late, after I had already went around turn 2. I just remember someone in front of me coming to a very quick slow down and when I tried to slow and go around on the outside I got pinched into the wall and climbed his back tire. Not really to concerned I know I couldn't have avoided it and it obviously didn't hurt his car too bad, I think he finished 3rd.
Hey Tate, I heard JR has already coughed up his winnings to fix my car!

NO!!!!!!! I plan on taken the sticker ( Thomas Racing96t ) he gave me & putting it on my right rear tire the next time I make it out to Deming during practice. Then when it falls off I'm going to find it and pound it with a baseball bat for about five minutes.
