Ok drivers and fans, we are looking for feedback. We want to know what you think about running a makeup race Thursday July 5th, this would be the night before our firework show.

Thank you all for your input on possibly having a make up race on Thursday July 5th. After considering all the pros and cons that were presented on facebook, the message board and the phone, we have decided NOT to have a race on Thursday the 5th.
In the future if we endure more rain outs this season, we will be considering running a make up race on a Saturday.

How about Friday and Saturday for a few nights to make up the rainouts? Thanks Doug

Yeah- not like there's another decent dirt track show within 100 miles!

At some point your going to have to make a business decision if this keeps up to figure out how you can get a race in. That may mean changing the day we race or adding a race. I don't think anyone prepared to have a June with no races and the long range forecast for July 6th doesn't look very good either.
I guess my point is that in my opinion I'd prefer the track make a decision that is in the best interest of the track, (i.e. being able to make some $ so we can keep it open), and not necessarily worry so much about what everyone else thinks. Your always going to get 100 different opinions but when it comes down to it if you have a race, regardless of date or time, most of the racers will find a way to make it because they want to race...even more than they want to bitch and whine.
I'll support whatever decision Deming makes as long as it is in the best interest of the track.

Look rain outs happen. But where else do you have two people that care about you racer's and fans then the Lemley's. For them to keep what we have here they have to more then a few races. So as a old time fan I know if you build it or make up race they will come.

I like the idea ! I know it is hard on the working man to do a Thursday night show then have to come back the next night but I have filming obligations at the crappy track down south on Saturdays ! It would be a awesome prelude to Clay Cup !
