If your like me you probably don't know exactly where you can go locally to get the kind of work you need done and/or are having trouble finding someone who is familiar with mini/micro sprint racing and motorcycle engines that run on methanol who can do the work at an affordable price, can give you a quick turnaround time, and give you the performance that you need.
I have done quite a bit of research and I have come across an extremely reputable and succesful company that does precisely what we need if you want to run an open head or just want to get your cylinder head freshened. This company does everything from building ready to go micro motors to engine rebuilds and head mods and they do it for a very competitive reasonable price and have a turnaround time that is usually less than 2 weeks. They have a phenomenal reputation and proven performance.
For less than $600 you can send in your stock head and get a full Serdi Radius Valve Job, Serdi Valve Refacing. They will set your spring pressures, mill your gasket surface, professionally assemble it, bench shim it, flow test it and ship it back to you ready to bolt on.
For less than $1200 you can have all of the above and they will fully race port your head as well.
You can expect a 3 HP gain on the $600 job and an 8hp gain on the $1200 job.
If you want a complete 08 R6 motor that has been completely gone through, with their head work you can pick one up for less than $4500 or send yours to them have them completely go through it and do their head work for $2400. This will include:

Don't take it from me take it from someone who wins races with NPS Engines, dyno's motors from all builders, and works for a company that builds cars and sells parts.

"I have started using NPS Racing Engines on my car and I am seeing an increasing number of them on our dyno. Their power numbers are at least that of what the best micro sprint builders are able to produce. They build a lot of sportbike racing engines so they tend to know a bit more inside industry information and tricks. I was using engines built by SPAR Racing Engines which are regarded as some of the very best on the east coast. I honestly cannot say that I see a noticeable difference on the racetrack but this NPS really seems to come on strong about half way down the straights. My professional opinion is that they are nearly identical."
