First off, I have to say that I've known the Moss family for less than 4 years. Our kids raced quarter midgets together before we parents even knew who each other were. One Spring practice day when my son Isaac was trying to get some seat time, another more experienced driver arrived and hit the track with Isaac. Derrick Moss caused a mid-week practice incident with my boy Isaac, which put to death a couple radius rods, tie rod, spindle, wheel, front axle, and lord only knows what else. Shortly after the practice crash Derrick came over to apologize, and mentioned that "They don't call me Dangerous Derrick for nothing!" with an apologetic grin on his face. It was then and there that the Abenroth's gained friends for life.
Weird to make a life long friend with the family who just stuffed your 5 year old into the wall? Not if you know the Moss family!!
